b 1959 in Stuttgart; 1977-83 studied Visual Communication at the Gesamthochschule (Comprehensive College) Kassel; in the 1980s, he worked as a photographer and assembled a growing archive of images, motifs, and text as the foundation for a number of serial works in the 1980s and early 1990s; since 1997 Professor for Experimental Spatial Concepts at the Hochschule für Gestaltung (College of Design), Offenbach; he lives and works in Offenbach.
