Mark Hansen
PhD in statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. He is Associate Professor of Statistics at UCLA with a joint appointment in the Center for Embedded Networking Sensing and Design | Media Arts. He started his career at Bell Laboratories, and his work is collaborative and interdisciplinary, finding inspiration in various branches of applied mathematics, information theory, media arts. He works with large, complex data, and recently has started dealing with situations in which data flow continually, forming so-called data streams.
