 Jörg Sasse

* 1962, Professor of Documentary Photography at the University of Duisburg-Essen, studied in the 1980s at the Düsseldorf College of Art, ending his term under Bernd Becher. He became known through photographs of arranged objects and details of interiors which draw attention to the formal qualities of everyday objects and environments. Since the early 1990s, Sasse handles photographs on the computer and alongside his own photographs uses, above all, amateur photographic images as well. For several years now, he also makes his images available in the Internet (www.c42.de), where by taking advantage of different categories, users can arrange them in ever newer constellations.
