b 1957 in Bremen; 1979-81 studied stage design at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Stuttgart; 1981-82 studied stage design at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Florenz (I); 1982-86 studied viusal communication at the Hochschule der Künste, Berlin (master-class student); from 1983 furnishings and costume design for film and television productions; 1993 taught at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Karlsruhe; 1996-98 taught in the depart ment of visual communications at the Hochschule der Künste, Berlin; artistic work with videotapes, objects and installations; lives and works in Berlin.
