*1950 in Antwerpen (B), 1975 – 79 studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d´Architecture et des Arts Visuels «La Cambre», Brüssel; 1980 first videosculpture with linked monitors; 1985 Scholarship Institute of Arts and Humanities, Boston; 1986 Fiacre-Scholarship of the cultural department , Paris; 1987 documenta 8, Kassel;1990 Visiting Professor at the Summeracademy Salzburg; 1992 Professor for sculpturing and multimedia at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe; 1996 first interactive audio-installation; 1998 associated professor at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe; visting professor at the Bundesakademie für kuturelle Bildung, Wolfenbüttel; Kulturbotschafterin of Flandern; lives and works in Bruxelles.
