Renata Stih and Frieder Schnock both studied at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Karlsruhe, from 1975 to 1981, and from 1975 to 1980 respectively. Renata Stih is a professor at the Technische Fachhochschule Berlin and lectures on interdisciplinary art and technology as well as the history of film and television.
