Strawalde (Jürgen Böttcher)

b 1931 in Frankenberg; 1949-53 studied Painting, Dresden (GDR); studied at the Deutschen Hochschule für Filmkunst (German College of Film Art), Potsdam-Babelsberg (GDR); author-filmmaker in East Germany; 1961 expelled from the Verband Bildender Künstler (Association of Visual Artists, VBK); today works exclusively in painting.
