Susanne Holschbach
b 1963 in Herne (D); her scientific collaborations include 1991–1995 the project „Zu einer Ikonografie der Gestaltung des Nützlichen,» Department Art and Design, Universität GHS Essen (D), 1995–1997 the interuniversity research project, funded by the DFG, «Theorie und Geschichte der Medien» (Universität Mannheim, D), 1998–2003 Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (Academy of Visual Arts) in Leipzig (D). Ph. D. on the topic of theatricality and females in 19th century photography. She has published on the media history of photography, on photography in the context of contemporary art, and on gender and media; lives and works in Leipzig.
