 Dellbrügge & de Moll
«This is Where Discourse Takes Place»

In a series of interventions in public space, Dellbrügge & de Moll address the excessive tendency to discourse in the art of the 1990s. The often-criticized classic white exhibition room – 'white cube' – here becomes the object of exhbition itself and the bearer of its own message. This hermetic cube was placed on the marketplace of Langenhagen to draw public attention for 10 days, in the context of the exhibition series 'vor ort'. The cube no longer embodies art, but reflection on art, here realized in the form of an audio recording of a confusion of voices on the CD 'Der Diskurs findet hier statt', in theoretical texts whose medial presentation can vary by context (Discman, ghetto blaster, CD player, muzak, etc.), an,d in this case, remaining hidden and inaccessible behind a door.
