 Brian Eno
«Generative Roomscape 1»

»Generative Roomscape« (1996) is a self-regulating sound-image landscape. Eno believes that no system exists any more that can be controlled by a central power, regardless of political or musical systems, of men, cities, or traffic. Complex, living systems are only controlled by themselves. One can, however, design the right basic rules in order to exert a meaningful influence on the growth or reduction of a system. In a dark space, Eno paints abstract color fields of different size by using slowly dissolving slide projectors. This play on color and form is mirrored in a music that is reduced to tones and sound fields.
