mikro is a club founded in Berlin for the promotion of media culture. It functions as an open, independent, interdisciplinary forum, for critical discussion on the cultural, social and political consequences arising from the use of new media and technologies.

Monthly 'mikro.lounges' in the WMF Club have various themes (from copyright questions to cryptography to 'gender on the Net') and combine video screenings, lectures, podium discussions and DJ sets.

The 'net.radio days Berlin', in June 1988, were organised by mikro and convex tv and brought together international representatives of the net.radio scene.
