The project 'Endschutzsender für Luzern' (Final Protection Broadcaster for Lucerne), continually developed by the group ArtWarPeace Sculpture Plan (AWP) since 1995, investigates the imaginary genesis of urban spaces on the basis of collective fantasies and projections arising in and structuring these spaces. In the 48-hour real-space extension 'Retinal Reflect', members of AWP equipped with laptop, cell phone, and camera investigated the urban space of Lucerne and fed their observations into the Internet. By means of a special Internet online display, users had the opportunity to make (anonymous) interventions in the flow of text, dissolving the supposed security of the reports from the urban space: 'Under the influence of global observation, the boundaries of the local disappear.' In Lucerne, local feeds and interventions from the net produced about 80 pages of text and about 150 images.
