b 1942 in Berlin; to 1968 studied theatre and art history at the University of Cologne; 1966-1988 joint films and performances with Wilhelm Hein and co-founder of 'XScreen' for sub-cultural events and programme work for various cinemas; numerous publications on avant-garde cinema; from 1990 professor of film and video at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Braunschweig (G).

b 1940 in Duisburg; studied art and economics at the University of Munich; 1966-1988 joint films and performances, co-founders of 'XScreen' for sub-cultural events and programme work for various cinemas; numerous publications on avant-garde cinema; from 1989 work included a 13-hour documentary film; lives and works in Cologne.
