*in New York City (USA); 1965 received a B.A. from Brooklyn College; 1974 reveived an M.A. from the University of California, San Diego; professorship at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ ; lives and works in New Brunswick, NJ (USA) and New York City (USA).
Since 1973 Martha Roslers has worked in various media, like video, photography, performance, critical writing and fiction. Her work illuminates a broad range of discourses, including art history, sociology, women studies, architecture, urban planning, film and media theory, and contemporary cultural studies.
