«Berlin Connection»

A documentary thriller in terms of content, the plot of the 'Berlin Connection' unfolds interactively: the CD-ROM begins like a feature film, with title, melody, and a historical introduction on the divided city, composed of images and sound. But immediately thereafter the viewer finds himself as a photographer in the scenario of a computer detective game. Clicking and scrolling, he influences the sequence and result of the action.
The screen is divided between a Quick-Time movie field, in which mostly sequentially arranged photos replace the movie scenes, and a frame in which tools for seeking clues – like camera, map, newspaper, and agent's briefcase – are deposited, to be activated in predetermined situations.
