«Beyond the Limits»

In this photo-series, Tabrizian shows racing standstills – brutal scenes that nevertheless seem frozen. Razor-sharp and intensely colored, one sees what are truly atrocities, like in the surreal scene when a woman lets her baby fall while a man shoots himself in the head. Despite the dramatic input of these parallel events, the protagonists show no emotion whatsoever – only the baby seems aware of its threatening fall. Heightened by the precision and color of the images, the photographed subjects seem more like Cyborgs or avatars removed from everything human.
