 Christina Kubisch
«Sound Tree»

At the end of the 1970s, Christina Kubisch developed the induction-based audio system she used to realize sound installations, especially in exterior spaces. Using a small, portable audio cube, which she later developed into cordless headphones, she made audible her site-adjusted fields or sculptures of colored electric cord. Since 1986, she has constructed them in interiors and made these visible with black light. The focus here is on the interface between nature and technology, whereby the visitor receives and mixes the tones through his own bodily activity.
