Mischa Kuball
«Tower of Power»

With this work, Mischa Kuball transformed the industrial architecture of an old brewery tower into a casing of light and sound, called 'Tower of Power'. In a process similar to his work in the Dessau Bauhaus, Kuball collaborated with the experimental musician Harald Grosskopf to carry out artistic interventions at various points within the building (Music: N-Tribe/Steve Baltes/ Harald Großkopf). The sound concept was based on the noise of the fermentation process in the old brewing tanks. The sound waves and luminous beams distributed over the various floors of the tower could only be experienced by exploring the whole of the building. Freedom of movement within the architectural space was part of the exhibition's concept.
