The conclusion was the broadcast of white noise after the stations ORF 1 and 2 went off air between Nov. 2 and 11, 1992. The signal was generated electronically and broadcast with the 'Transit Logo'; only afterward does the station completely shut down, with 'real' snow on the TV screens. Helmut Marks declares this empty spaceand, and with it the seamlessly following white noise after the station goes off air, a 'sculpture'. Transit's goal of bringing art into the mass media of radio and television thus begins with a reference to existing empty spaces, which could be the potential free space for art in the media.
