 Maurice Benayoun

b 1957 in Algeria; Maurice Benayoun has been exploring the potential of 3D computer graphics' animation and Virtual Reality for more than 15 years. Since 1984, Maurice Benayoun has been teaching «Video Art and New Images» at the Université de Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and has been an invited artist at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts of Paris (F). In 1987 Maurice Benayoun co-founded Z-A Production, now one of the two oldest companies in France in the field of new medias, where he currently works as director of creation. His current activities focus on developing the artistic potential of virtual reality and interactive projects.
