«The Biography»

After her separation from Ulay, this solo evening is an act of remembrance. 'The Biography' brings the theatrical form of visual art onto the stage, in the form and body of Marina Abramovic. The artist passes her life in review and, in her text, speaks of moments, ideas, and feelings from her birth in 1946 to the moment of the performance in 1993, when she was in Berlin as a DAAD Fellow. The chronological sequence of her life – 1972 'Start using body as material', 1975 'Meeting Ulay. Strong attraction', etc. – is interrupted by segments in which she stages and visualizes the moments and performances of her biography as an artist.
