«Intervals»

A concept drawn up in the summer of 1971 was implemented by Hessischer Rundfunk on 10 January 1972: a one-dimensional impulse was examined in a linear interval. The sound generator of a sinusoidal tone was filmed. The camera was shifted in steps of 5 metres, then 10 m, then 15 m and so on, until finally the sinusoidal tone is inaudible. In the version I made for ORF in 1972, a monitor is used instead of a generator.
