 Ulrike Rosenbach
«Female Energy Exchange»

In her videotapes ‘Dont’ Believe I’m an Amazon’ and ‘Reflections on The Birth of Venus’, Ulrike Rosenbach operates with superimpositions of her own image over historical paintings. In her colour photo-series ‘Female Energy Change’ she continued to work on the complex of the traditional and clichéd representation of women. Her usage of mythological figures is an attempt to liberate a potential for resistance.
